Senator Smart Adeyemi (APC/Kogi West) has assured that Kiri-Abugi road will be completed soon.
Adeyemi gave the assurance when he embarked on a physical inspection and on-the-spot assessment of the ongoing road construction on Sunday.
The reconstruction work, handled by a construction firm, FSK Nigeria Limited, was facilitated by Senator Adeyemi, representing Kogi West Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
While work has been completed on the Kiri end of the road, work is ongoing on the Abugi portion.
The engineer handling the project, Mr Kola Oladejo, also assured that the entire work, including the bridges would be completed soon.
In a related development, Senator Adeyemi gave out cheques to contactors to handle his N100million rural electrification projects across Kogi West.
Fifteen communities in Kogi West senatorial district will benefit from the rural electrification project.
The senator said the project will commence with initial eight communities and it is expected to be completed in three months, while the remaining seven communities will be carried out by August and to be completed before the end of the year.
“Most part of Bunu communities remain in darkness with no electricity. Adeyemi, who said he was rehabilitating the electricity from his personal finances which is expected to gulp N100m, also promised to ensure Iluke to Ike is done by the Federal Government in 2023 Budget.
