The Senate yesterday confirmed the appointment of five nominees as members of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC).
They are Dr Mrs Ngozi Agatha Etolue (Anambra State), Hope Odhuluma Ikiriko (Rivers), Professor Aminu Diyo Sheidu (Kogi), Mr Emmanuel Chimezie Ihedioha (Abia) and Mr Joseph Olufemi Akande (Osun).
The confirmation was sequel to the adoption of the report of the Senator Aloysius Etok-led Senate Committee on Establishment and Public Service, on the screening of the nominees.
Etolue is to represent Anambra/the Ebonyi/Enugu cluster; Ikiriko, Bayelsa/Rivers/Delta; Sheidu, Kogi/Kwara; Ihedioha, Imo/Abia and Akande, Osun/Oyo.
