The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security Matters in charge of Okene Local Government, Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad has commended the efforts of the state governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello for placing the security of lives and property of the people a top priority of his administration.
Hon. Abdulrazaq gave the commendation in Okene when he received men and officers of the newly established mobile police unit, Mopol 77 at their temporary base in Okene.
He said, aside the military barrack, the Governor has also brought in the special police unit to strengthen the existing forces and of course consolidate his achievements on security in the area.
The Local Government Chief Security Officer lauds the courage, and patriotism of theย security officers who are already in high spirit to flush out crime and criminalities from the zone.
He assured the command of maximum cooperation from the people of Kogi Central as they begin operation.
In his remark, the Commandant of Mopol 77 base in Okene, ACP Hassan Ibrahim said the command has commence operation which covers the five Local Governments of the district.
He promised to ensure the command carry out her assignment professionally and in line with police rules of engagement.
