Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world – Nelson Mandela.

Undoubtedly, the greatest of all investments is the investment on education. Any nation that desires instant progress must make it a point of duty to invest massively on people through education.

Just like Isaac Newton stated that “If I have seen farther, it is by standing on the shoulder of giants”, those who from personal magnanimity invests largely on education are giants who have offered passports and free license into the future for beneficiaries, they are the real patriots whose passion for national and global transformation has led into human development.

This is the category that Mr Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem proudly belongs, particularly for his immeasurable contribution to academic development in the state.

Mr Sanni Egidi, of truth, has been playing a very complementary role to Governor Yahaya Bello’s landslide educational development in Kogi State, most of whom had gone unnoticed until his most recent gesture that we can no longer afford to stomach considering how massive it was.

In the last 6 weeks, Mr Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem funded the distribution of over fifty thousand (50,000) customised notebooks and thousands of other important educational materials to students across Kogi Central under the umbrella of the SEACARE FOUNDATION, and according to his team, massive plans are ongoing to give this gesture a State-wide coverage by extending the distribution to Kogi East and Kogi West respectively.

This gesture without doubt has played a tremendous role in promoting education and also complementing the efforts of the State government in the desire to build students who are academic oriented for the future sustenance of our dear State.

In line with the above, the NAKOSS finds Mr Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem deserving of accolades for what he has done in the State. This, in essence, would spur him to do more by fulfilling the promises he made to extend the gesture to Kogi East and Kogi West and of course, serve as encouragement to both state political actors and non political actors to consider partaking in promoting education across the State in a bid to build youths who would take on the leadership and development of the State someday.

Mr Sanni Egidi, the prodigious and philanthropic man of goodwill is the Director Accounts, Ministry For Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, the chairman of BASESAN GROUP OF COMPANIES and also doubles as the President, SEACARE FOUNDATION.

Whilst conveying our sincere appreciation to Mr Sanni Egidi, we urge him to never relent in his quest to invest more in humanity both in the State and across the Nation.

In the same vein, we charge worthy Kogi sons and daughters who are doing well, home and abroad to always remember the youths at home, who they could lift through education and entrepreneurship. By doing this, we can boastfully conclude that the State would in no time catch up with the pace of modern development.
