A chieftain and House of Representatives candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for Dekina / Bassa Federal Constituency, Hon. Sani Idakwo Philips has said that despite court litigation and several setbacks that have slowed the pace of campaigns of the party at the National Level, SDP will still win elections in Kogi State.
Speaking at a news briefing held in Dekina in preparation for the party mega rallies commencing from Saturday the 26th of January, Idakwo is confident that in an atmosphere of free and fair elections, SDP candidates will sweep the polls at various levels in the February 16 general elections.
While urging the Police and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state to be neutral and discharge their constitutional duties without fear or favour, Idakwo advised the APC led state government not to temper with the will of the people at the polls.
Idakwo further urged his fellow candidates and supporters of the SDP not to be afraid but to go all out and secure victory for the party at various levels in the state knowing that God is with them and will rescue the state.
