Dear Sir,
Appeal for Scholarship for Kogi State University Medical Students
We write with respect to the recent landmark developments in the College of Health Sciences, Kogi State University, Anyigba.
In particular, we refer to the almost concluded inter-university transfer of the medical students of Kogi State University to fully accredited institutions for effective training.
Your Excellency sir, it is with all sense of gratitude and in full consensuality that we, the entire members of the Kogi State University Medical Students’ Association, hereby register the unfathomable depths of our appreciation to you sir. This is for the pivotal role that you have played, and still play; in that upon your glorious and well-deserved re-election as the Executive Governor of Kogi state, you did not only approve, but you also facilitated the progress of this transfer.
Indeed sir, the magnitude of the gratitude we owe you is far beyond the scope of verbal communication. It is our earnest prayer that your kind and fatherly acts be commensurately rewarded by the Almighty God.
Your Excellency sir, the above, and other equally striking ways are the numerous areas in which you have skilfully demonstrated your commitment to multi-dimensional development across all the sectors of Kogi state – and that in spectacular and unparalleled fashion.
It is therefore against this backdrop, Your Excellency, that we crave a further display of your kindness and magnanimity of heart, as we make a humble plea for the provision of State scholarships for the 74 medical students who are remnants of the College of Health Sciences, Kogi State University, Anyigba, and are at the moment awaiting the completion of the transfer procedure.
The scholarship will enable us foot the bills for the transfer fee, school fees, and other associated fees that will be required.
Beyond doubt, we are well aware of the probable cost implications that accompany the process of inter-university transfer. However, secondary to financial constraints, it far exceeds our capacity at this time to afford the finances required within such a brief expanse of time.
Therefore, Your Excellency, we implore that in your sheer kindness and understanding, you provide us the succour that we so desperately need at such dire times as this.
In the final submission, Your Excellency, we the medical students of Kogi State University retain implicit faith in the well-drawn blueprints of your ingenuous New Direction Agenda. So, with that, we believe we shall soon receive prompt and ample intervention from you sir, the invincible White Lion of Kogi state. We shall as a matter of fact, await this in earnest, sir.
