Salman: Leadership and the Burden of Integrity

Effective leaders build trust with the people they lead.

Trust is, further strengthened when a servant – leader prioritise the needs of his constituents, over and above, primordial ego – massaging and self – serving interest.

Hon. (Arc.) Salman Idris is deeply humbled and overwhelmed by the enmasse votes he garnered in the 2023 House of Representatives election.

In the last two years, Salman have proven beyond reasonable doubt that, he is a true representative of the people consciously and conscientiously.

He has built a clout where the greatest happiness is for the greater number of Kabba-Bunu/ Ijumu constituents.

By his deeds and modest achievements, Salman has made us to understand that continuity is the best form of lawmaking and for the fact that if you visit the nooks and crannies of Kabba-Bunu/ Ijumu, his developmental strides are visible

The vast majority of constituents are backing Salman and he should continue his good works. The people however promised their unalloyed support but implored him to take his constituency to a different level.

Hon. Salman has embarked on some fundamental projects which include but not limited to – reconstruction of the almost impassable St. Paul Primary school, Korede road, Kabba; reconstruction of Olle – Aiyegunle bridge; reconstruction of Okoro – Gbedde — Agirigbon — Aiyegunle Gbedde road; reconstruction of various communal roads; rural electrification; distribution of solar lights to remote villages and towns; construction of blocks of classrooms in Okedayo; construction of solar – powered boreholes; facilitation of employment opportunities in MDA ‘s, and also prioritising the welfare of the people.

Notably, Hon. Salman is hailed by political pundits for his giant strides in sectors such as education, health, infrastructure, agriculture, youth empowerment and women development schemes.

These gestures are geared towards making life better for the highly versatile people of Kabba-Bunu/ Ijumu Federal Constituency.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership across Kabba-Bunu/ Ijumu has watched with satisfaction to laudable efforts being made by Salman, adding that, without any equivocation, he deserves re- election in 2027.

Due to his focused mindset, awareness and commitment to making a difference, he has been consistent in terms of service delivery and unwavering legislative prowess.

In finality, the vast majority of constituents have spoken in unison echoing that the one good term he is doing deserves another term.
