Senator Abubakar Abdulrahman has urged the moslem faithfuls not to see the celebration of eidul fitr for merry making alone, but a period of spiritual rejuvenation and re-dedication to the cause of Allah and humanity
The senator in a statement signed on his behalf by his special assistant urged the moslems in kogi and Nigeria in general to demonstrate the lessons of the holy month through good neighbourliness and humane disposition in their daily lives
Abdulrahman Railways urged the moslems and his teeming supporters to remain consistent in their relationship with the Almighty God and their folks so as to continue to leave a life worthy of emulation and references
Abubakar Abdulrahman described the current political development in the state and the country as evolving while urging them to use the opportunity to re-dedicate their lives to the services of humanity and the people.
The former Kogi east senator called on well meaning Kogites and Nigerians to support the middle and the low class particularly in the area of bequeathing a lasting succour to their welfare
He used the opportunity to commiserate with the people of kogi east over series of communal crises and invasion of herdsmen through attacks, urging them to protect the area through local and well organised vigilante groups
Senator Abdulrahman described as unfortunate the endless invasion of herdsmen to kogi east and their awkward activities of killing the innocent ones,promising to support the efforts of government to rid the area of dissidents in the name of herdsmen
Senator Abubakar congratulated both moslems and non- moslems wishing all and sundry many more of sallah celebrations
