The Kogi State Police Command has ordered massive deployment of its men across the 21 local government areas of the state to ensure a hitchfree Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
Spokesman of the Kogi Police Command, Williams Aya in a statement issued on Monday in Lokoja said the Commissioner of Police has directed all Area Commanders, Heads of Department, Divisional Police Officers, Tactical and Operational Commanders to put in place, tight security measures in their respective areas of responsibility to avert any criminal incident.
“The Commissioner ordered for a massive deployments of police personnel across the twenty one LGAs in Kogi State to ensure adequate protection and safety at all praying grounds.
“He urged members of the public to cooperate with the Police and other security agencies to ensure a hitch free celebrations”, he said.
He assured of the Command’s readiness to collaborate with other sister agencies to guarantee safety and protection of lives and property before, during and after the Eid-el-kabir celebrations.
The Commissioner appealed to law abiding citizens of the state to always give credible information on activities of criminal elements across the state.
“The Commissioner once again congratulates all Muslim faithfuls and wishes them a happy Eid-el-Kabir celebration”, the statement said.
