The Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Steel Development and member representing Ankpa Federal Constituency, Hon Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims has made the provision of over a hundred rams and other food items to his constituents as part of his welfare support for the Eid El Kabir Salah celebration.
These, according to the lawmaker, is a deliberate effort to augment the currents state of economy for the needing constituents in a bid to make the Sallah celebration worthwhile for the beneficiaries.
Mallam Suleiman Tahir, the Personal Assistant of the honorable member noted with optimum satisfaction that this was not the first time the lawmaker is embarking on such massive gesture, and applauded his principal for his responsiveness and sensitivity to the needs of the people of the area.
Furthermore, Tairu revealed that the welfare packages are targeted more for the Muslims faithfuls in the Federal constituency.
“The idea was to make sure that a good number of vulnerable constituents observes the Sallah festivity with joy,” he explained.
The lawmaker reiterated his commitment to the well being of the people of the area especially by means of attracting federal projects and meaningful infrastructures that can absorb the teaming unemployed youths into gainful engagements.
In addition to the rams set for distribution, the honorable member has also made provisions for over three hundred bags of rice, seasoning and discretional cash, all to be distributed across the three local government areas of the federal constituency.
