When I heard of the death of Late Prince Rotimi Obadofin, the word that struck my heart was the word of Samuel Butler, “to die completely is to be forgotten, he who dies and is not forgotten lives forever’’.
The greatness of any soul is what posterity say good of him.
With a saddened heart, and on behalf of Okun Students, I wish to mourn with the entire state and the Okun nation over the loss of this role model, a freedom fighter, a man with uncommon abilities, rare and uncommon intelligence, deep critically thinking and remarkable integrity, humble, charismatic and father of all.
And so I say Kogi state and Okun Nation has lost a trailblazer. Prince, your light will never dim-out or fade. Rest in peace our comrade, father and mentor.
May God grant you eternal rest
