The Bishop of Chapel of Freedom, Lokoja, Kogi State, Bishop John Ibenu had worst experience in his priesthood on Saturday night as gunmen forced their way into his home.
The gunmen, sources said, numbering seven positioned themselves outside the building while two entered the room through the roof of the building.
Several items, handsets, ATM cards and other valuables were allegedly carted away from the house.

According to a source, the attackers couldn’t have been different from armed robbers who had been chased from the expressway, while other sources said they could be traced to people who are close to the Bishop.
As at the time of this report, no human casualty was recorded but two people were said to have been wounded in the house of the Bishop, a lady and boy, and they are said to be recuperating in an undisclosed hospital outside the city centre.

An attempt to speak with the Bishop met brick walls as his cell phone was not picked by anybody.
