Revenue Drive: I Will Positively Turn Around Fortunes of Kogi Utility Compliance Agency – Taufiq Isah

The Director General of the Kogi State Utility and Infrastructure Management and Compliance Agency (KUIMCA), Alhaji Taufiq Isah, has expressed the agency’s commitment to enhancing the revenue generation efforts of the state.

During the inaugural meeting of the agency’s management held in Lokoja, Alhaji Taufiq emphasized the importance of the agency’s role in guiding ministries, departments, agencies, and private companies on optimal operational practices.

He assured that the agency would be fully functional in pursuit of its objectives, highlighting the necessity for the public to be informed about its responsibilities.

“Our responsibilities encompass revenue generation for the state, ensuring compliance with standards for all infrastructure projects in Kogi State, promoting effective utilization of these infrastructures, and reporting utility breakdowns to the appropriate authorities,” he stated.

Alhaji Taufiq acknowledged the previous lack of public awareness regarding the agency’s activities but affirmed their readiness to take decisive action to fulfill their mandate and increase state revenue.

He expressed gratitude to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for entrusting him with the role of Director General and pledged to meet expectations.

Additionally, agency members Mr. Paul Agada and Mr. Emmanuel Bebeyi voiced their commitment to supporting the Director General in his endeavors to enhance the agency’s performance.

Hon. Suleiman Onimisi Abdulazeez, representing Kogi Central, also assured his support for Alhaji Taufiq Isah, underscoring the urgent need for the agency to commence its operations effectively.

Also, in a recent development, the former Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Abdulrahaman Dangana, has called upon the management of the Kogi State Utility and Infrastructure Management and Compliance Agency to take all necessary measures to promote the proper installation of utilities throughout Kogi State.

Rt Hon. Dangana made this recommendation during a courtesy visit to the agency’s Director General, Alhaji Taufiq Isah, at his office in Lokoja.

He underscored the importance of ensuring compliance in the provision of infrastructure to guarantee its durability and enhance service delivery to the community.

The newly appointed Director-General of KUIMCA, Alh Taofeek Isha, previously served as the Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area, where he had a commendable tenure marked by the enhancement of security for both lives and properties. Additionally, he established a robust foundation that fostered the growth and development of the local government.
