The President of Kogi Central Forecast Group (KCFG) Yakubu Nazir Abdulhakeem give reasons why Almighty God ordained Hon. Ahmed Tijani Damisa of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) representing Okene/Ogori Magongo Constituency as sole candidate on the rerun election slated 20th Febuary, 2016 to reclaim his mandate as correct winner of the last election March 28, 2015.

In the history of Kogi Central, Hon. Ahmed Tijani Damisa has proved to his constituency, there are dividend in democracy and your track records shows to the electorates which no one has ever done. He let people know that as a member of House Representative, they are profuse resources you can use to transform the constituency from darkness to light.

The President of group Yakubu Nazir Abdulhakeem maintained Hon. Ahmed Tijani Damisa deserved to run for any elective or political post as many as his can with the highlighted numerous achievements below which cannot compare with any House of Represent members in North Central:

HUMAN CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT

  • He provided free computer appreciation program which saw over 2000 youths across the constituency benefiting and thus empowered to pursue their dreams of the 21st century.
  • He donated over 200 motorcycles to different categories of individuals to make life more meaningful for them.
  • He donated a bus to Ebira Youth Congress (EYC) to further their cultural and social development works.
  • He launched a market women scheme which led to 800 small scale traders having their businesses transformed.
  • He also donated over 50 deep freezers to market women to facilitate their business.
  • I provided entrepreneurship and skills acquisition training with follow up funding for the establishment of a cooperative society scheme and it has so far benefited over 500 people.
  • He distributed countless numbers of video cameras, photo cameras, vulcanizing machines car washing machines etc. to a number of artisans and entrepreneur in our constituency to lift them out of poverty and dependency.
  • He facilitated the employment of more than fifty fellow constituents into various senior positions within the Federal Civil Service.
    EDUCATION
  • He provided scholarship to over 200 people across our constituency to further their education and thus better their chances in life.
  • He constructed and furnished three blocks of classroom at Queens of Apostles College, Okene to ease the infrastructure decay in the college.
  • He embarked on the construction and furnishing of one block of 3 classrooms with convenience and borehole at GSS Ohiana and it now nearing completion.
  • He rehabilitated and equipped Standard Primary School Onyukoko to improve quality of learning for our children.
  • He provided 105 computers to Abdul Azeez Attah Memorial College, Okene to make the school Information Communication Technology (ICT)
  • He also a co-sponsored one person for PG at a University in the UK to build high level manpower for our people and the state in general and therefore better our chances of competing at the centre.
  • He donated cars to National Association of Ebira Students (NAES) to enhance their operations.
    HEALTH
  • He equipped Okene General Hospital for better service delivery and patient outcome.
  • He provided free medical check-up and treatment for high blood pressure and diabetes.
  • He provided a platform for free surgeries for different disease conditions including restoring sight to more than 70 cataract blind persons.
    WATER
  • He commissioned two studies through the lower Niger River Basin aimed at getting to the roots of our water problems.
  • He provided portable drinking water through the provision of over 33 motorized boreholes across the constituency.
    LEGISLATION
  • He sponsored a bill to establish a functional and compulsory birth registration in Nigeria.
  • He sponsored a bill to establish both state and government owned farms in Nigeria.
  • He raised a motion to create a pedestrian bridge across the roads of FCE Okene and Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja respectively.
  • He raised a motion to terminate the tenure of interim governing council of Ajaokuta Steel Company and Itakpe Iron Ore Mining Company.
  • He raised a motion to condemn job racketeering in the civil service of Nigeria.
  • He raised a motion to condemn the activities of Boko Haram insurgency in Nigeria.

As you are going enter your second term in Green Chamber of National Assembly we urge you to continue with your good deeds in Okene/Ogori Magongo Constituency and beyond. We most pray you not to renege on your promises to deliver on welfare to your constituency and beyond so that our people can sustain the unity of purpose of Kogi Central to improve on the quality of life in Constituency and beyond.
