Rep Member Empowers 75 Women, Widows, Trains 50 on Poultry, Fishery in Kabba-Bunu, Ijumu

Hon. Salman Idris, member representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has empowered 75 women and widows with grinding machines.

He also trained 50 individuals on poultry and fishery.

At the empowerment event on Saturday, Hon. Salman Idris distributed 75 grinding machines, 15 generators, and empowered a young man with a camera and accessories to start a photography business.

He explained that the programme was aimed to enhance the economic livelihoods of women, widows, and youth in the constituency.

Hon Salman Idris assured his constituents that their welfare would continue to be his topmost priority. He emphasized his commitment to creating opportunities for economic growth and development in the constituency.

The event, held at Lisa Palm Hotel, Kabba, was attended by Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones; Special Adviser to the Governor on Energy Matters, Hon. Bode Adeyemi; Special Adviser to the Governor on Entertainment and Culture, Hon. Juwon Olorunnipa; former Chairman of Kabba-Bunu Local Government and former House of Assembly member, Hon. Nathaniel Taiwo; APC stalwart, Barrister Boluromi, and other dignitaries.

The Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones, praised the federal lawmaker for his “zeal and initiatives in empowering his constituents.”

Other dignitaries present also commended him for his dedication to the welfare of his people. They noted that the empowerment programme is a testament to Hon Salman Idris’ dedication to his constituents, adding that by providing tangible support and skills training, he is helping to improve their economic prospects and build a more sustainable future.
