In a bid to enhance educational infrastructure and support, Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem, the House of Representatives member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, commissioned a six-classroom block at the Eganyi Community Comprehensive School.
This event took place alongside the launch of the distribution of the SEA Educational Grants aimed at supporting hundreds of undergraduate and postgraduate students throughly selected.
Representing Hon. Sanni at the commissioning, his senior legislative aide emphasized that the Eganyi Community Comprehensive School is the first of its kind constructed in the Eganyi district of Ajaokuta LGA since 1980. The school has historically played a pivotal role in the educational development of many residents in the area. However, it has suffered from infrastructural decay and vandalism over the years.
“The newly structured classrooms well equipped are part of Hon. Sanni’s commitment to revitalizing the school’s legacy and reaffirming that education remains the cornerstone of a progressive society.
In his separate remarks, the SLA highlighted Hon. Sanni’s dedication to education and the rationale behind the educational grants, which aim to alleviate the financial burdens faced by students in Nigeria. He noted that the initiative is part of a broader strategy, which includes ongoing improvements in the health sector, human capital development, and social amenities within the constituency.
Hon. Aliyu Ogido, the Executive Chairman of Ajaokuta LGA, commended Hon. Sanni for his developmental strides and pledged to collaborate with his office to foster further development in the community. He also warned against encroachments on government lands designated for the community school, stressing the necessity for ample space to accommodate future developments.

Many students noted that they applied through the provided website and were selected without any external influence, which they greatly appreciated. They lauded the fairness and integrity of Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem’s leadership.
The event was well-attended by party dignitaries, first class traditional rulers, law enforcement officials, women, youth representatives, and students.
