Member representing Adavi/Okehi in the national assembly, Hon. Abdulmaleek Abdulraheem Danga, has promised to continue to improve the living conditions of the people with disabilities (PWDs) in his constituency through empowerment programmes.
He made the promise during an empowerment programme for PWDs in Ihima, Okehi local government area of Kogi state, on Saturday.
The lawmaker disclosed that the move was to assuage their suffering and to assist them in acquiring quality life.
He said the physically challenged are richly endowed with great potentials, such as skills and talents and should not be discriminated against.
He also acknowledged their positive contributions to the development of the state and urged them to key into the government’s poverty alleviation programme to benefit them.
