Ordinarily, we won’t have dignified our time by responding to a pseudo writer named Ibrahim Ojo Taiwo, who did not investigated on how government is run but for the purpose of the public of which we don’t want them to be misled, we decided to respond to his false claims.
As part of our open door policy and good governance, at the inception of our government, we set up a committee headed by the former council leader, Hon. Femi Ibileke, to retrieve all stolen and sold movable properties of the Local Government. Our government has not sold a dime since the inception of this administration but we can’t continue to abandoned properties that are vandalized everyday and day.
It is known by every reasonable citizen of the country that at intervals government can auction unused properties,this has been happening occasionally in the last six years except Ijumu Local Government. why should it be a thing of surprise now that the government is ready to sell out moribund properties lying low for the past 15 years without any benefit to the Local Government.
It is mischievous and wicked to say that the Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government, Hon. Taufiq Isa whose primary objective is for him to put smiles on the faces of the good people of Ijumu Local Government Area through his people oriented programs across the nooks and crannies of the LGA.
Where are you when infrastructures, human capital development, education and agricultural programmes and projects are done in Ijumu?
For the purpose of the general public and full clarifications,this is to mention but few of the Executive Chairman’s numerous achievement.
Infrastructure
1.Construction of Zango Market in Iyara with adequate facilities
2.Renovation of Executive hall, Ijumu Local Government Council
3.Renovation of Maternity Hospital, Ayegunle Gbede
4.Grading of rural roads in twenty communities of Ijumu Local Government
5.Roofing of ILGEA primary school, Odokoro Gbede
6. Payment of counterpart funds to Community and Social Development Agency for the construction of Town Halls, Primary Health Care centers, ICT centers across major communities in the Local Government.
Education
1. Distribution of Customized exercise books to pupils in public primary school
2. In the year 2017 through National Association of Okun Students, 30 slots of JAMB was bought
3.Footing of school fees and accommodation fees for students in higher institutions.
Intervention
1. 700,000 thousands naira was donated to NYSC, Kogi State to augment their feeding allowance
2. In the Year 2016, 2017 and 2018, a cow and twenty bags of rice was donated to NYSC corps members at Asaya Camp, Kogi State
3.During the heavy rain storm that bedevilled Iffe Community in Ijumu, One Million naira was donated for the repairs of churches, houses and shops
4. On May 29, 2017, the Administrator toured round all General Hospitals in Ijumu to foot medical bills of sick people on bed
5. Donation of a car to Chief Imam, Iyara
6. 100,000 was given to Segun Kolade from Iyara for the amputation of his leg
7. Public Address System was donated to Muslim Community, Ayeh Gbede
8. Public Address system was donated to Baptist Church, Odokoro Gbede
9. Public Address System was donated to Central Mosque, Odokoro Gbede
10. N300,000 was donated to christian community, Ike-Bunu
11. N300,000 was donated to muslim community, Ogidi
12. N300,000 was donated to Jamt_Nasr_Islam, Ijumu Chapter
13. N300,000 was donated to Christian Association of Nigeria, Ijumu Chapter
14. Over 300 motorcycles has been distributed to party faithful across the Local Government
15. Ten(10) electric poles was donated to Ayegunle Gbede Community
16. Two generator sets was donated to Zango Community, Iyara
17. Distribution of 650 bags of fertilizers to farmers in the Local Government.
18. Purchase of Hilux van, Sienna and motorcycles for the security agencies to combat insecurity.
