When minds are boggling and tongues are wagging, it is an indication that it is either the course is becoming more clearer and the race is becoming more hotter to the sponsored writers and its junketing collaborators to absolve the pills and the shocks that is the likely outcome of the next verdict on the struggle to truly represent the people of Kogi East conscientiously without any ulterior motives.
Now that politics is around the corner, do gooders at all sphere under the guise of political exigency and castigation will never do anything right basically owing to the mindset of some kitchen intra party opposition that cannot go beyond the early preparation for the 2019 general elections.
Of what concern is any strategy adopted by a sitting senator to better the lives of his people in the area of soft loan/seeds, empowerment, skill development and acquisition affect the strategy of others? Even when it was no longer hidden that speculations and insinuations were rife that the sitting senator had dropped the idea of returning to the senate in the next general election in Kogi East by 2019.
Senator Atai Aidoko Ali is very much in the race no matter the gimmicks, political misinformation, lies and persecution to discourage and deny the people of the area robust representation to the glory of the Igala/Bassa race. We are still grateful to posterity that in Aidoko, the legacy of empowerment and constituency projects is littered in every nooks and crannies of Kogi East. No wonder, the perceived political enemies and their writers marauding and disguising for the welfare of the race are now in a great dilemma.
In a sane and best democratic practice and journey, top party echelon remains the rallying point of every contestant in the race to represent the people through the democratic process and it is on record that party excos, at the ward, local government and state level never interacted with Kogi East senator until the recent visit. Even though, insinuations are high everywhere that some groups of aspirants, particularly a desperate one, had placed the entire party excos at the local government and the ward levels on monthly stipend to perfect their desperate tendencies along with mass purchase of membership cards to tune the victory of the next primaries in their favour.
How could this group of people dare accuse a serving senator of dolling out two million naira each and a car to the nine local government party chairmen to pave way for his victory at the primaries? What a cooked scenario! As a leader of the party and the elected representative of high ranking status at the senate, the idea to pay homage separately by the party machinery in solidarity with the legal constraints and other issues is not out of place. So, the mere allegations is completely a testament cooked upon the imagination of the perceived peddlers.
Kogi east senator, Atai Aidoko Ali as a welfarist, down to earth and tolerable personae, played host to party leaders, excos, stakeholders, women leaders, opinion moulders, youths and other gladiators who trooped to his country home to continue to show support and solidarity in all his political aspirations.
As a ranking senator and strong PDP member, at national, state and local government levels, as well as a major financier of the party who doggedly piloted and nurtured the affairs of the party to fruition and now newly found messiah, in terms of political alliance and affiliations, it is not out of place to converge the like minds to continue the slogan of liberating the socially ostracized members of the society instead of dancing to desperadoes who are out to take advantage of the reformed PDP.
It is unarguable that Iga ikeje, the adjoining village to the senator’s country home, Ugbamaka, has benefited a lot of social infrastructural development through provision of transformer, borehole, a clinic and skill acquisition center due for commissioning as soon as efforts were concluded. Also, it is in the public domain that extension and electrification of the area to Ugbamaka was carried out by the senator but because of the epileptic power supply, efforts are in top gear to connect a 66kva line from Onitcha Igo junction to Iga Ugbamaka and by extension upgrade the supply of electricity to the entire landscape of Olamaboro and the adjoining local governments in Benue state. It is on ground for verification and authentication.
Making prejudicial statements for political convictions may not catapult the ambition of the writer’s sponsors to fruition. Kogi east senate tussle still remained at the appeal court for judicial interpretation, so we need to thread softly as this was the same court your perceived winner relied on while you are jostling for his re-inauguration that may never be.
In the area of emergencies, contributions and other national issues, Aidoko, without hesitation raised a point of order during the sponsored killings in Omala and parts of Dekina local government areas by Fulani herdsmen. He did not stop at that, he appealed to NEMA to attend to the emergencies as well as donate relief materials to the people of Oganenigu, Abejukolo, Agbenema and other adjoining communities, a decision that was applauded by the two major traditional rulers; HRM Ojogba of Ife and Egeuna of Oganenigu.
Hence, it is only lazy politicians like the writer’s sponsors who will prefer to blow his trumpet at the expense of the people. As a strong believer in posterity, bequeathing legacies overrides the actions and decisions of Kogi east senator, Atai Aidoko Ali.
Most distinguished Senator Atai Aidoko Ali is still much in the 2019 Kogi East senate race.
