The recent open letter addressed to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo published on some blogs regarding the staffing situation at the Deputy Governor’s office has prompted a response from our office. It has come to our attention that there have been misconceptions and inaccuracies presented in the letter that we feel compelled to address.

Firstly, we would like to clarify that the Deputy Governor has never raised any concerns or complaints about the staffing levels in his office. The assertion made in the letter that there is a shortage of staff is simply unfounded and baseless.

Secondly, we want to emphasize that the number of aides at the Deputy Governor’s office is not as misrepresented in the open letter. There are in fact more than 9 aides serving in that capacity, contrary to what was alluded to in the publication.

Moreover, there has been no solicitation from the Deputy Governor for additional support or sympathy regarding the appointment of aides. Any insinuation otherwise is pure speculation and does not reflect the reality of the situation.

The Deputy Governor has never sought support or sympathy in any forum regarding the appointment of aides.

The aides, meticulously selected after thorough background checks and assessment of competence by the governor, do not require media attention or agitation to prompt the government to finalize their appointments.

The Governor and the Deputy are not rushing the process of appointing aides, as they cannot be coerced into hasty decisions that may lead to errors.

We urge the instigators of these malicious posts and unwarranted sycophancy to cease their actions, as the law will swiftly catch up with them once their identities are revealed.

Furthermore, we caution the desperate politicians and their sponsored candidates to refrain from defaming the Deputy Governor in their pursuit of appointments, as they risk being exposed and dealt with decisively.

We will not succumb to pressure to expedite the process or bypass protocols simply to appease their self-serving and desperate desires for appointments.

We equally enjoined bloggers within the state to always verify sources of information before publishing them for public consumption as it is capable of giving a jundiced image and wrong perception among the people.

In conclusion, we urge the public to verify information and refrain from spreading misinformation. Our commitment to transparency and efficiency remains unwavering.
