…Okunland will welcome a “transaction” that liberate her people on the long run

For quite a long period of time, Okunland has been on an unfortunate political trajectory where hope isn’t in sight, not even in the foreseeable future — but rather a bleak one!

Since the creation of Kogi State in 1991, we have not been able to activate the pressure button in our desperate search to have the opportunity of having a fair share of power distribution in Lugard House among the 3 major ethnic groups that constitute the “Confluence State of Opportunities”.

As fate would have it, the lone ranger who have disguised in human form — Asiwaju (Engr.) Dr. Prince Olatunji Olusoji is been routinely reprimanded by “evil forces”, who the people have labeled as “serial oppressors” in his quest for peaceful resolution, negotiation, patience and synergy with the other component allies that makes up Kogi State.

No doubt, Kogi West shouldn’t be cowed into believing that they are in the minority reason for their inability to taste the seat of power since creation.

It is a lame excuse that holds no water in our nascent democratic experience.

For those preaching the war of attrition and hate speech against Dr. Olatunji Olusoji, the good people of Kogi West know quite well that they have been short-changed in power rotation by the other component units — but the time is now ripe for a “default setting” as espoused by the philanthropist without boundary.

If truly the Okun nation doesn’t have the voting strength to upstage the status quo, it is, therefore, expedient of us to queue behind Dr. Olusoji’s foresightedness and diplomatic approach in leveraging on the viable options available in order to guarantee a seamless transition of power to the Okun nation in 2031.

Prince Olatunji Olusoji deserves unstinted praise, respect and applause for toying this peaceful and united path — rather than the unpatriotic rebuking and demystifying condemnation for political expediency.

By ascribing Olusoji’s unprecedented love and patriotism to his people ” from being a perceived solution to a visible part of the problem” is rather laughable, uncomplimentary, ungrateful and plausibly distasteful.

Interestingly, the vast majority of the Okun people, and by extension Kogi West district have consistently keyed into the political ideology and philosophy of Dr. Olusoji that — Kogi West’s claim to power in the political lexicon of the state in 2031 is long overdue and non – negotiable.

Therefore, no amount of diversionary and improbable permutations, cooked up by political usurpers who continue to gain where they didn’t sow will dissuade the people of Kogi West from exploring the wise options of negotiation, synergy and alliance in their reclamation of their constitutional right to govern Kogi State post 2031 as encrypted by Asiwaju Engr. (Dr.) Prince Olatunji Olusoji.
