Contrary to reports making round in the media about a certain staff of Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Agada Okpanachi, who allegedly attempted suicide due to none payment of his salaries, the story has been confirmed to be untrue.

E-Reporter News correspondent gathered this during a telephone chat with the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Mr. Emmanuel Idenyi who confirmed it.

He said, they have checked their staff nominal roll and found no body with the name Agada Opanachi on their staff list.

“We swoop into action and contacted all Area offices for clarification and confirmation, none had any staff with such name. We contacted the Nigeria Police and Road Safety Corp of Idah commands on patrol along Idah, they confirmed that there was no such incident in Idah”

Consequently, we wish to officially refute that claim, the Permanent Secretary, Emmanuel Idenyi said.

It would be recalled that it was in the news within the week, of a man who was trying to commit suicide by hanging himself on a tree was rescued by routine patrol team of FRSC officials from Idah, who were informed by an okada rider, who himself could not rescue the man, that an unidentified man was attempting to take his life by hanging on a tree.
