RCCG His Unity Sanctuary Supports 100 Private School Teachers With N10,000 Each

The Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG), His Unity Sanctuary, Pipeline, Kubwa Abuja has embarked on a special project of helping 100 private school teachers who have not been paid in over 4 months. 

The church which said due to the noticeable impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on private school teachers most of who have not received salaries for over 4 months, the church conceived an initiative to support these category of people as well as the aged and indigents.

The project was said to be targeted at 100 households and supporting them with ten thousand naira each.

The support was delivered to the first batch of 25 beneficiaries on Sunday 9th August, 2020 in 3 various centres.

Pastor Yemi Ayodele, while speaking with our source, said that the church, by this gesture is portraying the compassionate and generous nature of God.

In his statement, Pastor Yemi Ayodele said that Churches are, of course, integral parts of their communities and are often on the front line of responding to disasters, both practically and pastorally.

Experience from previous epidemics, he said, has shown that churches are particularly well-placed to build trust and hope, to counter fear, and to build community resilience as well as individual mental and spiritual resilience.

According to Pastor Ayodele, the disbursement to the next 25 beneficiaries would hopefully take place on 25th August, 2020.

One of the beneficiaries who spoke with our reporter expressed gratitude to the church. She said “we are hungry so this gift from the church gives us joy and we are very grateful to the church for their concern about our welfare”.

Another beneficiary also expressed his appreciation on behalf of others to the church for the disbursement of the cash support, for their kind gesture to the private school teachers and lauded the impact of the exercise, which according to him, was a huge success.

He prayed that the gate of hell will not prevail over the church.

It could be recalled that this church also during the total lockdown embarked on a Community Feeding Outreach in its neighborhood, feeding between 200-250 people thrice a week for 6 weeks.
