Engr. Folorunsho Olafemi has called on all Muslims to be prayerful in the month of Ramadan.
The message was contained in a release signed by his father, a former acting governor of Kogi State. Asiwaju Clarence Olafemi in Lokoja.
Olafemi noted that the holy month of Ramadan is a special season for seeking Allah’s mercies. He called on Muslims to show more tolerance to people of other faiths, relate well, maintain peace and harmony from the community level up to the national stage.
“As Muslims around the globe commence observance of the Ramadan fast on 6th May 2019, he invite all and sundry to re-dedicate ourselves to seeking the mercies of Allah, pray for our dear Kogi state, our nation and its leaders.
“Seek forgiveness and forgive one another as this is the spirit of Ramadan and it’s lesson are built in having a taste of what others feel, especially the have nots.
“The month is a month of increased charity and Good deeds, so do not be limited in spreading good words and deeds, as even a smile is charity,” he said.
Engr Folorunsho Olafemi prayed God to accept the fast as faithfuls observe the Holy Month.
He said: “I pray God accept our fast as an act of worship, forgive our sins and bless our Kogi state and nation Nigeria. May He guide our leaders right.”
