The member representing Ankpa 2 constituency at the Kogi State house of assembly, Hon Alfa Mommoh Rabiu has Congratulated Prof Stephen Ocheni on his confirmation by the Senate as a minister of the Federal republic of Nigeria.
The distinguished Honorable described the confirmation as a reflection of the saying which says a good fish has no hidden habitat noting that the erudite professor is an erstwhile academician with an undoubted integrity and leadership prowess.
Hon Rabiu who made the congratulations shortly after his confirmation said “to me; a golden fish has no hidden habitat and Prof Stephen is a man who has previously proved himself via integrity and uncommon leadership prowess. In fact, the appointment is not just well deserved but as good as putting a round peg in a round hole.”
While speaking further, he thanked president Muhammadu Buhari for the appointment and extolled the Nigerian Senate for the Swift confirmation it granted the Kogi born ministerial nominee whose appointment shall be replacing the vacuum created in Kogi State following the death of the late minister of state for labour and productivity, Barr James Ocholi SAN.
Untill his appointment, Prof Stephen Ocheni was a professor at the Kogi State University Anyigba and has hitherto held sway in several offices including permanent secretary at the Kogi State government house.
