Rabiu Alfa Condoles With Chief Egwemi, Says Late Dr Victor Was A Reservoir of Knowledge

The honorable member representing Ankpa 2 constituency at the Kogi state house of assembly, Hon Alfa Mommoh Rabiu has in his condolences to Chief John Egwemi, the chairman of Ibaji traditional council and father of the deceased lecturer of Kogi State University Anyigba described the late Dr Victor Egwemi as not just a fine academician but a reservoir of knowledge.

He made the assertion at Idah while paying condolence visit to the father of the deceased noting that the news did not just come to him as a rude shock but phenomenal to a sunset in the morning saying that there is solace in the fact that the fine academician lived and died as an exemplary figure for the younger generation.

In his words: “my brothers death came to me as a shock and so I likened it to sunset in the morning. In fact, when I remember, the thoughts of a not just fine academician but reservoir of knowledge is what always come into my memory but I receive solace in knowing that he lived and died as an exemplary figure for the younger generation.”

Also on the condolence visit were the member representing Dekina(Okura) constituency who is also the deputy speaker of kogi state house of assembly, Rt Hon Hassan Baiwa, Hon Haruna Idoko Musa of Idah constituency as well as their Ibaji counterpart, Hon John Abbah and they too all eulogised the deceased in their separately gentle but modest remarks.

In his response, the monarch thanked his visitors for their commiserations and prayed to God that they are able to deliver on the confidence reposed on them by their various constituents after which he called on both the young and old to take lessons from his son’s demise and live responsibly as serious saying death doesn’t give prior notice to anyone.
