The honorable member representing Ankpa II State Constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon Alfa Momoh Rabiu has bagged an award for excellent services from the Elyland Prestigious Academy, Ankpa in due recognition of his outstanding services to the people of his Constituency in particular and humanity in general.
The Elyland Prestigious Academy is an affiliate institution of the Peace Land College of Education Enugu which was founded and funded by a Deceased Switzerland philanthropist, Mama Lia in her quest to tackle poverty in Nigeria through quality and affordable education.
While presenting the award, the Kogi Directorate Coordinator of the Peace Land affiliated citadel of learning, Dr Omachi Daniel extolled the virtues of Hon Rabiu especially in the area of his humility and accessibility charging him to sustain the status quo which he noted, forms parts of what earned the people’s honorable the award.
Furthermore, the Don called on all those within the structures of the society to emulate Hon Rabiu by distinguishing themselves in every strata of the society adding that even if nobody Honours them, nature will do saying good deeds are like golden fish and so, has no hidden habitat.
In his acceptance speech, the ranking lawmaking dedicated the award to the good people of Ojoku and Enjema whom makes up Ankpa II State Constituency noting that all he is politically today is as a result of the confidence and supports given to him as he further reaffirmed his commitment to effective service delivery.
Earlier before the presentation of the award was a graduation lecture presented by Mr Bartholomew Ojochenemi, wherein he stressed the need for all to acquire sound education which he described as the panacea to solving emerging global needs.
Highlight of the convocation ceremony was inauguration of alumni committee and musical performances as it had in attendance academicians from different institutions, traditional rulers and other well meaning individuals.
