I was shocked by the news of a new campaign promise of Gov Yahaya Bello where he was quoted to have promised to make Kogi state paradise if he is voted in; in the next election.
The governor whose failure is very glaring even to the blind should not take Kogi people for a ride by making such unpolished statements in the face of his abysmal performance on a mandate that was not given to him by our people. So far as we are concern, Gov. Bello is history, we are only waiting for the election day to issue his red card.
Let it be known that those clamoring for reelection of Gov Bello should know for a fact that he has never been elected by our people and he will go out of Lugard House, the same way he came in.
Before you promise paradise, Kogi should have at least be like Lagos, UK, Paris, America etc. Then the fallacy of an imaginative paradise could have been a dreaming option. But for a gov who has failed in all aspect of governance and has continue to self evaluate himself, making such humongous, senseless, unattractive, unrealistic and insensitive promise, is a sign that he does not care for the people.
It is a shame that as a young man, in a country that youth are clamouring for positions in government; Gov Bello has made such a poor outing from a rear privilege given to him.
All that is left now is for him to prepare his handing over note awaiting the loud voice of the people come November. It might seems impossible because of the resources of our state which this govt has continue to use to torment and unleash hardship on the people, but the same God who saved his people from Pharaoh will do same for the people of Kogi state.
God will Liberate the oppressed from the Oppressors in Kogi state.
We voted for our leader, Prince Abubakar Audu, not Bello. And we have another chance to choose who we want now.
God bless Kogi State.
