The Accountant-General of Kogi State, Dr. Habibat Tijjani Onumoko, has fulfilled her promise to donate an electricity transformer to a community in Otite, Okehi local government area of Kogi state.

The donated transformer was delivered to the community last Sunday.

A member of the community, Asuku Sufyan, confirmed this to our correspondent on Friday.

“Dr. Habibat Oyiza Tijjani Onumoko has graciously fulfilled a commitment by donating a transformer to our community at the Federal College of Education, Otite, in Okehi Local Government Area.

“This act of benevolence comes after a delegation from our community engaged her earlier this month, during which she pledged to address our longstanding electricity challenges before the month’s end. True to her word, she has delivered on that promise with commendable alacrity and integrity.

“This gesture exemplifies exemplary public service and responsiveness to the needs of the citizenry.

“We extend our weighty gratitude to Dr. Habibat Oyiza Tijjani Onumoko for her dedication and compassion. May divine blessings continue to guide and strengthen her in her noble endeavors,” Sufyan prayed.

Sufyan said the donated transformer has not only restored reliable power supply to their educational institution and surrounding environs but also underscores the deep impact that targeted interventions can have on community welfare and development.

He appealed to other functionaries across the various tiers of government in Kogi State to emulate Dr. Onumoko’s noble example.

“Such healthy competition in service delivery, where leaders prioritize the welfare of their constituents, fosters genuine progress and ensures that the dividends of democracy are tangibly experienced by citizens in every corner of our state. When public officials act with promptness, empathy, and accountability, the collective prosperity of Kogi flourishes.

“We remain hopeful and encouraged that more such initiatives will follow, bridging infrastructural gaps and uplifting our communities. God bless Dr. Habibat Oyiza Tijjani Onumoko, and God bless the people of Kogi State.”
