All Progressives Congress (APC) frontline aspirant and Kabba-Bunu State House of Assembly hopeful, Princess Olonikadi Motunrayo Idowu, aka ‘MJ’, has put in place strings of activities to welcome Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman, the executive Governor of Kogi State, as he commissions Southward Hospital and Diagnostic Centre, Edumo- Kabba, on 24th March, 2026.
In a press statement on Tuesday, she eulogised the facilitator and owner of the hospital for counting it worthy of building a world – class hospital in his domain considering the fact that the people have long being yearning for this opportunity.
Princess Olonikadi also described the one-of-its-kind hospital in Okunland as a tangible evidence of effective governance and blueprint for holistic state development as espoused by Governor Ododo.
“Though, this landmark project is a private initiative, if our Governor doesn’t create an ambience and enabling environment for investors, it will be difficult to achieve success of this magnitude,” she stressed further.
‘MJ’ also identified the need for public-private partnership initiatives because government alone can’t provide all our needs thus insisting that development should be everyone’s business.
She, once again, congratulated Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd) for the landmark project because it is unprecedented in the political annals of Okunland.
“This world – class hospital will drastically improve access to quality healthcare for most especially, our women who have not had the opportunity of accessing qualitative medical attention in their domain.”
For her, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has done exceptionally well by consolidating on the benefits of former Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello in his first tenure and it is her earnest hope that his second term is sacrosanct.
“This will enable him to continue the good works he has started,” she added.
