He later transitioned into academics as an Assistant Lecturer in Anyigba, embracing the core responsibilities of teaching, mentoring, and research. This stage helped shape his scholarly discipline and commitment to developing future leaders.
As his expertise expanded, Prof. Ogbo rose to become Head of the Department of Political Science, a position that demanded leadership, coordination, and strategic management of academic programs.
