Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has appointed Prof. Salisu Ogbo Usman as Vice Chancellor, Prince Abubakar Audu University Anyigba.
According to a statement by the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Dr. Folashade Ayoade, the appointment followed the expiration of the tenure of the outgoing Vice Chancellor, Prof. Marietu Tenuche.
Until his appointment, Prof. Usman was the Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja, a position he served meritoriously, restoring the lost glory of the Institution with improved academic standards.
Prof. Usman, a Professor of Political Economy and Development, is bringing his wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of his new assignment.
The Governor while appreciating the outgoing Vice Chancellor for her remarkable achievements and service to the State, congratulated the New Vice Chancellor on his appointment, urging him to consolidate on the achievements of his predecessor.
