Governor Idris Wada has been hailed for making genuine effort to renovate the dilapidated old schools across the state.
The principal of Adbul Aziz Atta Memorial College (AAACO), Okene, Mallam Ogirima Naee stated this in an interview with The Graphic in Okene recently.
The principal who was represented by the Vice Principal Administration, Mr. Ajayi Umar commended the Governor for what he described as genuine resolve to restore the structural beauty and academic excellence of the old Okene College.
According to him, the completed projects included, school hall, staff quarters, Ohimege House and senior and junior school block.
Others he said are, old corpers’ lodge, cyber cafe which the principal explained, was to allow the students have access to internet facilities to expose the students to information technology.
While appreciating Governor Wada-led administration for giving priority attention to the development of the 92 year old college, he described the government effort as rare commitment to create conducive atmosphere for teaching and learning in the school.
Though, the principal acknowledge the fact that there are many projects waiting for attention in the state, he appealed to him to build modern laboratory for science subjects in the school.
