As Muslims worldwide begin mandatory fasting as required by their faith, the Galadima 1 of Ankpa kingdom and Kogi State House of Assembly aspirant, Prince Yakub Yakub has called on all Muslims in his constituency and the rest of Nigeria to use the month long Ramadan to pray for peace and solutions to Nigerian socio-economic and under development problems.
In his Ramadan greeting to millions of Muslim constituents in his constituency, Yakub Yakub said he has no doubt of the efficacy of Muslims’ prayers to Allah particularly during the month of Ramadan, adding that the period should also be used to reflect on their faith and relations with their creator.
The young Prince called on all Muslims to continue to live in harmony with members of other religious faiths as brothers and sisters stressing that Islam is a religion of peace that abhors violence as a form of interaction with members of other religious faiths.
Prince Yakub Yakub further urged Muslims to use the period of Ramadan to move closer to Allah through the strict disciple that the month long fasting entails.
