Ahead of the much anticipated States House of Assembly primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), an aspirant for Kabba-Bunu state constituency, Otunba Kingsley Mokikan has reassured party delegates of his readiness to raise the bar of effective representation.

Mokikan made this known during a consultative meeting with party delegates in Kabba.

He reminded the delegates on the expectation of the people who look up to PDP to save the state from further mess.

“The masses are looking forward to our party to salvage and rescue our state from the terror that have been willingly unleased on us by this APC led government.

“We have infrastructural deficits in our local government. There is hunger and starvation in Kabba/Bunu and the state at large. Our local government developmental drives received no attention from the state government, despite our local government’s huge contributions to the state IGR.

“We are threatened by the daily scourge of insecurity in our local government to the extent that our farmers in the villages can no longer go to their farms with the hopes of returning homes safely.

“Civil servants had been laid off wrongfully. The retrained civil servants and pensioners are denied their entitlements, thereby subjecting them to abject poverty.

“These are little out of many challenges that are ravaging our constituency,” he said.

Mokikan assured the delegates that as a resident in the state, he is aware of the ills in the society and willing to present himself as a prepared servant of the people.

“You all know that I am aware of all these problems because I share in the pains occasioned by these challenges as a Kogite who lives at home amidst all the adversaries. At this point, we can’t just continue to identify those problems without taking concrete steps that will ameliorate the pains and the agonies caused by this poor governance.

“The most trusted and reliable solution to the problems identified so far is effective representation at State House of Assembly.

“As we all know, to curtail excesses of any executive arm of government, the  legislative assignment must be entrusted in the hand of person of sound mind who is fit, capable, bold and courageous enough to use the instrument of law making to correct those anomalies”

“You all know me to possess all the qualities mentioned earlier. To put an end to all these inhuman attitude from the government of the day, we all have roles to play,” he added.

“Your choice at this stage is important and must be carefully made. My promises are clear and would be kept at every point in time. I have the ability to approach relevant authorities just to drive home the needed developments legitimately. Trust me with your votes and I will not disappoint you.

He expressed confidence in the ability of the party to ensure free, fair and credible primary election process.

Hon. Kingsley Mokikan urged his teaming supporters to abide by the rules of the game and remain law abiding citizens before, during and after the contest.
