Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has congratulated the presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on his victory at the polls.
In a statement personally signed by the Governor and made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Wednesday, Bello said Tinubu’s win was a testament to the faith of Nigerians in his leadership and a resounding affirmation of his vision for a better Nigeria.
Bello described described Tinubu’s resounding victory as well deserved.
“In my dual roles as the Governor of Kogi State and the National Youth Coordinator of the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, it is my unparalleled pleasure to felicitate with Your Excellency on this epochal victory.
“On behalf of the people and government of Kogi State as well as the teeming youth demographic which stood with you and our great Party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in this contest, I also extend our warmest congratulations to you and His Excellency, Vice President-elect Kashim Shettima on this historic triumph.
“Your election has renewed hope in the hearts of Nigerians, and we are confident that in your incoming administration, we shall witness the sort of foresighted governance we saw you provide in Lagos State over the last two decades – and which fired our imaginations, not only to believe that the same is possible in Nigeria but to work assiduously with you to birth it today.
“Sir, you are coming to the Presidency at a time when Nigeria is facing numerous challenges of insecurity, corruption, unemployment, and economic instability, among others. The only answer we envisage is sustainable change, executed as a divine trust, that quickly improves the lives of all citizens while elevating our national standing in the comity of nations,” he said.
Bello said he is excited about Tinubu’s vision for a prosperous Nigeria built on a foundation of sustainable development, innovation, and inclusivity.
“Your commitment to revamping the economy, creating job opportunities for the teeming population of unemployed youths, eliminating insecurity and ensuring food security constitute the heart of our support. We hold them both irreducible and inviolable.

We are therefore confident that you will leverage your wealth of experience in public service and your excellent track record in governance to uplift the giant of Africa.

Bello assured Tinubu of his continued support.
