PPP is the Platform for Achieving Kogi State Transformation Agenda – Awoniyi

The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Arc. Yomi Awoniyi has said that Public Private Partnership (PPP) is a veritable platform for the actualization of Kogi State transformation agenda.

He stated this when him the Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Public Private Partnership (PPP), Mallam Abdul Adama met with the leadership of Kogi State Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (KOCCIMA).

The Chambers led by her President, Dr. John Alabi, presented a draft PPP bill to the Deputy Governor.

The draft bill, according to KOCCIMA, encompasses the legal and institutional framework for the successful take-off of PPP regime in Kogi State. The draft is domesticated to cater for the environmental factors in Kogi state.

While receiving the draft bill, the deputy governor expressed his delight with the commitment shown by KOCIMMA and noted that the non-existence of PPP framework has been his concern. He promised to expedite action on the draft bill by sending to appropriate quarters for onward submission to the state house of assembly who will pass it into law.

The draft bill will be review along side the draft sent to the Ministry of Justice by the Special Adviser on PPP, Abdul Adama. Adama who has been at the fore-front championing the PPP cause in Kogi State has assured stakeholders of his commitment to make sure a viable and workable PPP Law is enacted in Kogi State
