I wish to advise His Royal Highness, the Ogohi Ojuh Anyigba, Chief Shaibu Okolo and all the community leaders to call for an urgent Peace Accord meeting in Anyigba ahead of 2019 general elections.
I am very sure you are all aware of the recent open violence in Anyigba community and its environs. It is on this background that this Peace Accord become urgently important for the safety of lives and properties in your communities before, during and after 2019 general elections.
I wish to nominate the following key political actors that are very instrumental to this peace Accord meeting:
1: Hon Prince Ishaq
2: Hon Benjamin Ikani Okolo – PDP House of Reps candidate
3: Hon Hassan Baiwa Abdullahi – APC House of Reps candidate
4: Hon Ahmed Attah – APC
5: Alh Sani Umoru – PDP
6: Prof Isa Daniel – ADC
It is our hopes that some of these political actors has a big influence to stop thuggery and political violence in Anyigba to allow for a peaceful free and credible election.
Through the signing of Peace Accord, the candidates should be committed to take proactive measures to prevent electoral violence before, during and after the elections.
They should also express determination to caution their supporters to avoid any conduct or behaviour that will endanger the political stability of Anyigba and ensure national security of Kogi State.
