A 39 year old man, Nnamdi Osita, has been arrested by men of the Nigeria Police Force, Kogi State Command, in connection with a stolen Toyota coastal bus.
In a statement signed by the Command’s spokesperson, SP William Ovye Aya, the Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Miller Dantawaye, assured residents that the Command is determined to ensure adequate security of lives and property.
CP Dantawaye said Osita was arrested with a cream coloured Toyota coaster bus with registration number GWA 488 ZD by operatives attached to ‘B’ Division, working in synergy with other security agencies in a covert operation.

According to the statement, the arrest was consequent upon an intelligence report received on January 23 that a Toyota coaster bus suspected to have been stolen from Nyanya, FCT, Abuja for over one year was sighted moving along the Abuja-Lokoja highway.
CP Dantawaye called for support from members of the public by volunteering timely and credible information on the activities of criminal elements operating in the state.
He reiterated the Command’s commitment to sustaining the onslaught against criminal elements in compliance with the directive from Inspector General of Police to all Commands nationwide.
