Poem in Memory of Dr Stephen Makoji Achema – Abdullahi Otiwe

Spread the love

The scale refused to weigh
The friendly sun refused to shine
The sky frowned inorder to smiled
The cloud became pregnant

The tree began to shivered
The Wind began to struggled
The day changed her garments
The land is visited by Gabriel

Silent noises the day
The pregnant cloud accompany cold
The friendly cloud began to cry
The Nation lost her compatriot

I was told to tell the tale
The Highly and Mighty fell
Nineteen-ninety nine like yesterday
On his day, Abacha repented

The day marked epoch-making
The epoch hard to regains
The sky lost her moon
Ever since, cats mews. rats agonized
