Permanent Voters Card: Wada Expresses Satisfaction On The Successful Conduct In Dekina

The Executive Governor of Kogi State, Capt Idris Wada has expressed satisfaction on the smooth and successful conduct of the distribution of permanent voter’s registration cards in Dekina Local Government Council.

The governor who was accompanied by top officials of his government was conducted round some poling units in Dekina by the Chairman of the Council, Comrade Mohammed Ali on the 25th of May, 2014.

While applauding the peaceful conduct of the electorates and the cooperation and understanding of the Adhoc staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) during the exercise, Capt Wada told the electorates that the new permanent voter’s registration card has more values in addition to voting. He urged the people to endeavours to collect their permanent voter’s registration cards as it is the only license that legitimize their franchise in performing their civic responsibility of voting.

Governor Wada thanked the Chairman of the council for ensuring that the exercise in his Local Government went on smoothly without any breakdown of law and other.

Capt Idris Wada and his wife, Dr Ibrahim Wada and other members of their families who are of voting age proceeded to Odu Ogboyaga where they equally identified their Names on the displayed voters registration and collected their permanent voter’s cards accordingly.
