The Executive Chairman of Adavi local government of Kogi state, Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami has expressed gratitude to traditional peace committee, stakeholders, religious leaders, traditional rulers, security agencies, and entire people of Adavi over the success of this year’s Ebe-Festival.
The festival was celebrated between 25th-27th of February.
In a statement issued by his special adviser on media, the council boss acknowledged the contributions, and cooperation of relevant stakeholders which he described as a rare privilege that made the work of security agents easy.
“We thank God Almighty for the peaceful celebration of Ebe-Festival in Adavi. We started peacefully and ended it in peace without any form of violence.
“On behalf of my entire cabinet members, the Council, supportive stakeholders, and the citizens of Adavi, I also want to thank my leader, my role model, my principal, H.E Alh. Yahaya Bello. He is the unifier who has united people across religious lines. His Excellency has made the people realize that humanity is older than religion and this has made us move and live together as one in peace, unity and love,” he said.
