People of Kogi State have been urged to see the peace and stability witnessed under the leadership of Capt Idris Wada amongst other achievements the present administration has recorded in the state as reasons why the administration should be supported to enable it deliver on all its promises.
Kogi State Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi stated this while addressing party faithful in Mopamuro LGA who paid him a visit during the Christmas celebration.
The Deputy Governor pointed out that amidst dwindling financial resources, the present administration of Capt Idris Wada has kept faith with its transformation agenda, disclosing that the administration’s priority in the area of Agriculture, Education, Health,human and infrastructural development, has met the yearning and aspiration of the people.
While noting that the free rural health program of the current administration, the massive turn around of health facilities, upgrade in primary and secondary schools in the state and the positive transformation witnessed in the agriculture sector as well as massive improvement in infrastructures, calls for stability and consistency.
Awoniyi called for continuous support for the Capt Wada administration, disclosing that what the state needs now having led a solid foundation for the industrial take off and socio economic development of the state by Capt Wada, the people’s support now and in the coming years is what will help the stability in the State.
Awoniyi commended the PDP in Mopamuro LGA, for their consistency, urging them to sustain their support for the Party and its candidates in the 2015 general elections.
The Deputy Governor described Governor Wada as a leader the state needs to navigate the current challenges of modern governance, and described him as one who is selfless and transparent in the handling of the state affairs.
While noting that the present administration appreciates all the demands placed on its by the citizenry, the administration Awoniyi added is aware of the need to meet the yearning and aspiration of the people, assuring that with patience and understanding, the administration of Capt Wada would no doubt meets the people’s expectations.
Awoniyi solicited the continuous support of the people in the coming year for the Wada administration, disclosing that the welfare of the people will no doubt be made paramount.
