The candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the November 16 governorship election in Kogi state, Engr Musa Wada has expressed shock and sadness over the death of the party’s zonal chairman, Barrister Taiwo Kola-Ojo.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Wada said Barrister Ojo was a strong pillar of the PDP and a well respected party leader in the state who played crucial roles for the party in the just concluded governorship election in Kogi state.
“Ojo’s demise at this time is painful, especially coming at a period when his service and commitment is most needed in Kogi.
“We, however, take solace in the fact that he lived a fulfilled life. We celebrate him for what he stood for, uniting the his people for a common course of moving Kogi state forward.
“Late Ojo was the pillar behind the success the party has recorded in Kogi West, the backbone of the brand of progressive ideas that defined the politics of the Kogi West.
“On behalf of my family and the Engr Musa Wada/Aro campaign committee, I want to express our heartfelt condolence to the family of Barrister Kola Ojo, the people of Kogi state and Nigerians on this great and irreparable loss,” he said.
