PDP Stalwart, Hon Shittu Haruna, Challenges Gov Ododo to Fix Lokoja Greater Water, Other Inherited Projects

A stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi state, Hon. Shittu Idris Haruna has called on Governor Usman Ododo to, as a matter of urgency, fix the multi billion naira Lokoja Greater Water project.

In a statement on Sunday, he said residents of Lokoja metropolis are seriously facing a lot of challenges as regards to portable drinking water, adding that a responsive government will not watch her people suffering like that.

Hon. Shitu also condemned the rationale behind the abandoned Ganaja – Otokiti by-pass way, a project he said can promote economic growth in the state capital when completed.

Hon Shittu stressed that the economic value of road is huge and it will reduce congestion on Ganaja – Lokoja road, wish serves as the only ring road that connect motorist from South Eastern states to the North and Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

He noted that the water project and abandoned by-pass were initiated by past PDP governments with the intention to make life better to citizens of the state.
