OKENE YOUTH CONGRESS …… a collegium of Youth associations

THE COMMUNIQUE

The congress resolved the compelling political issues consequence upon the purported Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) State House of Assembly primary election at an emergency meeting of the congress of Sunday 30th November 2014 in Okene town hall Inike-Okene.

  • That the congress congratulated RTH Hon. Momoh Jimoh Lawal for his well-deserved victory at the Okene 2 state assembly congress to re-contest on the plat  form of People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
  • That it’s well known to us that except otherwise delineated, Upogoro/Odenku ward is one of the four wards In Okene 2 state constituency.
  • That one Abdulhameed Momoh is a voter in Upogoro/Odenku ward, from where he contested 2013 LGA election hence he is not qualify to contest Okene 1 State Constituency under any political platform.
  • That the people will resist the imposition of one Hajia Bilkisu Muhammed Onusagba however powerful or influential her sponsors.
  • That the Congress relied on the credibility of any of the other Aspirants to represent Okene 1 in the forthcoming House of Assembly in Kogi State.
  • That the people through the eligible delegates should be allowed to freely elect the party flag bearers.
