PDP Congress: Dekina Leaders Affirm Husseini Ibrahim Ejini as Divisional Chairman

Following the decision of Anyigba ward of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to endorse a consensus arrangement, the leaders of the party from Dekina Local Area led by the former Governor of the state, Captain Idris Wada today threw their weight behind the aspiration of Alhaji Husseini Ibrahim Ejini, the incumbent Party Chairman.

The stakeholders from Dekina local government, on Thursday in Egume, resolved to endorse Ejini’s candidature as the party consensus candidate ahead of the October party congress, stating that the position of the leaders is for the peace and unity of the party.

In attendance were Kogi state former Governor, Capt Idris Wada, the Peoples Democratic Party flag bearer in the last gubernatorial election, Engr Musa Wada; Mohammed Mikailu, Dr Mohammed Tettes, Senator Nicholas Yahaya Ugbane, Hon Emmanuel Omebije, Hon Benjamin Ikani Okolo, Comrade Usman Okai Austin, Hon. Halilu Aliu, the party zonal chairman, Alhaji Mamman Pele, and Mallam Khalid.

The party bigwigs in Dekina local government made this unanimous decision after extensive consultations with stakeholders at the ward level. Overall, the decision was made so as to avoid uncertainty as the party prepares for the state congress and also to ensure the continuous stability of the party.
