Following alleged disqualification of most of the national assembly aspirants from Kogi State, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Appeal Panel Committee has begin sitting in Lokoja.

In a statement issued by Kogi State Deputy Chairman of the party, Chief Sam Abenemi, all the aspirants that appeared before the National Assembly Screening Committee and had complaints are requested to make themselves available at the party secretariat.

Unconfirmed reports suggested that aside the three incumbent Senators from the state, all other aspirants were disqualified by the screening committee.

A source told our reporter that the embattled aspirants were disqualified based on issues relating to tax clearance and improper deposition of sworn affidavits.
