Hell was let loose yesterday in Anyigba, Dekina local government area of Kogi State when supporters of two House of Representatives candidates engaged on street brawl.
Eyewitness told our reporter in Anyigba that at the build up to the general election, there will be no hiding place for those who attempt to rig election.
According to eyewitness, it all started from a filling station when supporters of one of the candidates tried to play a fast one in trying to out-smart the other in buying fuel on the queue.
He said the supporters banged on the car saying that it was not possible to get fuel before their leader and therefore blocked the car from getting fuel.
When the report of the incident reached their supporters outside the scene of the incident the supporters went wild and started vandalising cars suspected to belong to their opponents.
Similarly, a clash over land left one dead while several escaped with varying degree of injury as rival groups in land speculation clashed at Kabba junction of Kogi State.
Trouble started when a group claiming to be original owners of the land prevented those who claimed to have paid for the portion of the land to have access to it lead to a fight.
Confirming the reports, the Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO) ASP Elvis Aguebor said that the situation is now under control but the details were yet to reach the headquarters.
