Kogi State Deputy Governor, on Monday, addressed restive residents who had gathered around a newly discovered warehouse around Zone 8 in Lokoja, the state capital.
Onoja explained to them that the materials in the warehouse arrived the state last week and are meant for flood victims across 9 LGAs in the state.
He announced that Governor Yahaya Bello has ordered that resident be allowed to help themselves with foodstuffs in the warehouse but pleaded that they reserve building materials – cement and roofing sheets – for the intended beneficiaries, the flood victims.
He volunteered to lead them to the warehouse and called on the restive youths to be calm and orderly.
Onoja urged them to be orderly while assuring them that the goods will go round.
